Not born in Colorado, but raised here, I am an honorary native and have been in the industry since 2005.  I specialize in men’s and women’s haircuts and color, and have spent much of my career on the business side of running successful salons and barbershops.  I am passionate about the level of service I provide for my clients and the overall vibe and culture of the shop for all who visit.  At Native Barber Salon and in my chair, I can ensure you’ll feel valued and accepted, and will leave looking your absolute best. 

I have been behind the chair mastering fades since 1992. I am originally from Montreal Canada but I moved to the united states 25+ years ago. I enjoy helping clients look and feel their best, and I can deliver any cut you want! I am a perfectionist and I have been told that my massage shampoos are the best! Hope to meet you soon.

Growing up next to his aunt who was a hairstylist, Michael quickly found his passion to become a hair designer. In 1987, Michael attended Western Kentucky University Vocational School where he trained under the tutelage of Patricia Robinson, then President of the National Hairdressers Cosmetology Association (NHCA).

During his time with Mrs. Robinson, Michael learned advanced cutting techniques and worked backstage at many of the extravagant hair shows for the NHCA. Shortly after, Michael graduated beauty school and moved to Detroit.

In 1993 he opened his first salon, Creative Image, an Aveda Concept Salon. Over the years Michael has worked to improve his skills and continue his education through Aveda, American Crew, and Paul Mitchell| and also has been a licensed cosmetologist in Paducah Kentucky, Detroit, and Chicago. Since 2009, Michael moved to Denver, participated in hair and makeup backstage at 303 Magazine Fashion Show, and assisted in many photo shoots. Michael's adorable personality, openness to his clients, and 36 years of cutting experience make him a knockout stylist his clients keep coming back to.
